Dr. Spence is a fellowship-trained General Internal Medicine specialist with hospital- and community-based experience, advanced training in point-of-care ultrasound, and a deep commitment to medical education through his work with the University of Calgary residency program.

About

Dr. Spence is a fellowship-trained General Internal Medicine specialist with experience in both hospital- and community-based clinical practice. He has also completed a fellowship in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS). He serves as an Assistant Program Director within the Internal Medicine Residency Program at the University of Calgary and has been recognized for excellence in clinical teaching. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Spence is currently completing a Master’s degree in Healthcare Leadership through the University of Dundee. Dr. Spence is known for his kind, thoughtful, evidence-informed approach to patient care.
